In what is bound to be one of Hollywood’s highest profile divorces, Angelina Jolie is ending her marriage with husband Brad Pitt. Angelina filed for divorce on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences. She lists the date of separation as Sept. 15. According to sources, Angelina’s decision to initiate the divorce is due to the method in which Brad was parenting their six children – Angelina is asking a judge for physical custody, and requesting that Brad be given visitation.
Angelina’s attorney told TMZ that she made the decision “for the health of the family,” and that her decision to divorce her husband was based solely over his interaction with their children. Angelina is not asking for spousal support. The couple became married in August of 2014, after being together since 2004.
