Law School & Early Experience
Ms. Shaw worked as a law clerk at the Franklin County Public Defender’s Office in the Juvenile Division from 2016 to 2017 while attending Capital University Law School. In 2017, she worked as a certified legal intern at the General Litigation Clinic and the Foster Youth Advocacy Center at Capital. In the General Litigation Clinic she gained experience with criminal, civil, and family law cases. At the Foster Youth Advocacy Center she worked in a clinic assisting emancipated foster youth with housing issues. Also in 2017 she worked as a legal extern at the Family and Youth Law Center at Capital and CrossChx, a private corporation. During that time she gained experience in legal research and corporate law.

She lives in the country north of Columbus with her husband and three children. She spends her free time with her blended family, which includes seven children and five grandchildren.
